I mentioned in an earlier post that I’ve recently begun trying to make my own snack mixes. First, it was my Toffee Popcorn Snack Mix. Now, I’ve got an addicting oyster cracker snack up my sleeve for those parties where I need something quick and easy to bring and share.
This took about 5 minutes to prepare and then I just had to wait around 30 minutes while they were baking. Super simple and quick!
Ingredients
8 Tbsp. unsalted butter (1 stick)
2 Tbsp. chopped garlic (ground into a paste)
1 Tbsp. dried thyme
1 Tbsp. dried savory
1/2 cup grated parmesan cheese
1 bag oyster crackers (10. oz)
Preheat your oven to 250-degrees.
Use salt and the back of a knife to grind the garlic pieces into a paste.
Place the garlic paste and butter into a saucepan and heat until butter has melted. Then, add the thyme and savory.
Pour the butter and herb mixture over the oyster crackers in a large bowl and stir to combine.
Sprinkle the parmesan cheese and then stir to mix.
Spread onto a wax paper lined cookie sheet and bake for 30 minutes until brown and crispy.
These are delicious but the parm didn’t stick very well . More butter maybe? Thoughts?
The ones you brought to the Beyonce concert, er, I mean super bowl party were amazing!!! I will be trying out this recipe very soon!
Thank you Bettina! Molly and Lucy loved them too ;) I gave them each a few hahaha Don’t tell Caitlin!
Your secret is safe with me! (unless she sees this)
I’d be lying if I said I didn’t eat these by the handful… (s)!
What a gorgeous and simple snack! It looks like a wonderful hostess gift too, or like something that could go in a fun little care package.
It would be perfect for that :) It really is simple!
Almost too simple… I’d make them nearly every other day and eat nothing else!
