You know what I love almost as much as mac & cheese? Cheap booze. You can’t judge me because I know you agree with me. I happened across this Stoli Sticki vodka on one of my many Target excursions and when I looked at the price tag, I contemplated buying about 6 bottles. How do you pass up a fifth of vodka for $7? That’s right, you don’t pass it up.
The tricky part was coming up with a drink that would be good with honey flavored vodka. I’m not sure if everyone else is a fan of tea, but I am and so I decided to make a cocktail with some iced tea! I have some Bigelow Green Peach tea in my cupboard (about 4 boxes to be exact) and I live on it in the summer when I can make a huge pitcher of it and leave it in the fridge. I figured I could spare a bag or two to test this cocktail. It was completely worth it. If you’re an iced tea drinker and happen across this vodka, especially if it’s $7, you should pick up a bottle and get creative!
Ingredients
2 oz. Stoli Sticki vodka
6 oz. iced green tea
1 Tbsp. simple syrup
To make simple syrup, just heat 2-cups of water on medium-high heat and add 2-cups of white sugar. Simmer until all of the sugar has dissolved. I store mine in the fridge in a container like the one above.
I also made this with some store bought, unsweetened black iced tea and really enjoyed that drink, as well. Keep your eye out at your local grocery store for clearance booze. A lot of times it is flavored, out of season or unpopular stuff, but it never hurts to try it!
Oh snap, thanks so much for posting this! I found a delightful recipe for Green Tea Cupcakes. You should try it, it was a piece of cake(lol). delicious!
This looks SO good! I want to drink this on your rooftop deck soon!!
As soon as it gets warm out! We will have a weekend of Mexican food, Andersonville beaches and rooftop cocktails!
