In case you haven’t noticed, it is already December. If you’re not psycho like me (in my defense, I work for a deals website) you might still have some shopping to do! I’ve taken some inspiration from my personal list, plus things I have and love, to put together a list last minute gift ideas for that special chef on your list.
1. Mixing Bowls I have never met a single person that cooks that claims, “I have too many mixing bowls”. Get them a nesting set and they won’t even take up much room!
2. A Year of Holidays by Ree Drummond The Pioneer Woman is my idol. Not only does she cook food I would eat, her family seems so sweet and her Food Network show is just so wholesome and fun. Her cookbook has a unique recipe not only for every holiday, but for any type of meal from breakfast, to appetizers, to party favorites. I hope I get this from Santa!
3. Silicone Whisks When I first started cooking, I had one whisk. And it wasn’t even a whisk. It was the whisking attachment to my hand mixer and it was metal. Get them a plastic or silicone whisk and they (and all their pots and pans) will most definitely thank you.
4. Immersion Blender I use my immersion blender for all kinds of soups and sauces. I’ve mentioned that I am not a fan of chunks in any of my food, so this is perfect for marinara sauce or tomato soup!
5. Silicone Cutting Boards These are one of my favorite purchases of all time. Not only are they handy for cutting meats and not getting germs on your wood cutting board, they are also super portable and great for getting chopped ingredients into a pot on the stove easily.
6. Stainless Measuring Tools It almost hurts me to admit how many of my utensils have melted in the dishwasher. Yeah, maybe I don’t always follow the hand-washing rules, but I can’t be the only one! These are definitely on my own list this year.
