The holidays are officially here. I will be heading back to Michigan this Saturday (my birthday!) to see my boyfriend’s family and then over to West Michigan to visit my own right after Christmas. We’ve gotten pretty good at splitting our time during the holidays, but it can be stressful. I’m sure I’m not the only one stressing for the holiday travel. Throw in mingling with distant relatives and the cold weather and you’re pretty much desperate for a cocktail. Have no fear, the Peach Hot Toddy is here!
Peach Hot Toddy Recipe:
6 oz. hot water,
2 oz. whiskey – I used Wild Turkey and whatever you have on hand works with this!,
1 Tbsp. honey,
1 Cinnamon Stick,
Peach slices for garnish.
Instructions:
Steep your tea bag for about 3 minutes. I’ve mentioned before that I LOVE Bigelow Peach Green Tea and I highly recommend it for this.
Add your whiskey, lemon juice, honey, peach slice and cinnamon stick. Stir and let sit for 5 minutes.
Then you just drink, warm up and get a little flushed in the face!
What is your go-to holiday cocktail when you need a little liquid help spending time with the relatives?
