I was cleaning out my refrigerator before Memorial Day to make room for new things and I found some almost empty bottles of ginger ale and apple juice. You know what that means – I had to make a cocktail with them, of course! I love the hint of vanilla in Sailor Jerry (or any spiced rum) and I thought it would taste great with the ginger ale. I added the apple juice and experimented with the ratios and ended up with a cocktail that I really liked! I also made this with bourbon (leftover from Kentucky Derby Mint Juleps) and it turned out just as delicious!
Rum and Ginger Cocktail Recipe:
3 oz. spiced rum or bourbon
2 oz. ginger ale
1 oz. apple juice
Lime wedge
Pour everything over ice, stir, and serve!
