Molly Monday: Spring Haircut!

Molly got her first haircut of 2014! I actually like her hair a little shaggier, but she was panting in 60-degree weather, so it was time to lighten her up a bit!

I took her to Divine Canine in Westover and everything seems to have gone well. I used to take her to Urban Pooch in Chicago because it was only 2 blocks from our apartment. I loved taking her there. The people were so friendly! It was sort of hard to pick a place in Morgantown. My friends that have dogs don’t need to get them groomed (Molly’s hair is outrageous) or juts get groomed at their vet. So, I did some online research and, with some helpful Google reviews, found Divine Canine. We will definitely go back!

After her haircut we went to Caperton Trail again and rewarded her for being a good pup. She loved it. She’s even getting better in the car. She hates riding in the back seat, but she’s been getting much better about it the more we take her for rides.

  • We just adopted a terrier mix . I think she may be a jacairn–Jack russell cairn. She is two years old, 14″ high at the shoulder and 12 inches long from neck to tail. She weighs 13 pounds. What are the stats on yours? Ours is cream colored with a 2″ rough coat and brown smooth short haired ears. I’ll send you a picture. She came with the name Gretchen she had for 5 months in foster care, we think we’ll stick with it.

    • Hi Judy, I think Molly is a little bit bigger than Gretchen! She’s about 16″ tall at the shoulder and weighs close to 18 pounds :) We adopted her about 2 and half years ago and she’s probably 5 years old according to the vet. I love terrier mixes, yours sounds adorable! Send me a link to any pictures you have, I’d love to see her!
